Hi.
Thanks for reading my post!
I recently acquired an OM-4T from a nice gentleman in Washinton. Although it
apprears to be in excellent condition, it does need a bit of work and I'd like
to send it to someone whom I can trust to repair it carefully and properly. I
don't mind shipping it out of state if necessary. Specifically, the film
transport mechanism is rough - the film advance lever is kinda resistant for
some reason. Also, the meter needs to be adjusted (2/3 of one stop under).
These repairs don't really constitute a complete CLA, but I was quoted $145
for the labor alone for the two adjustments. The seller thought I might have
it CLA'd by a business called "Camtech" for $150. I suspect it's somewhere in
Washington. That sounds very reasonable to me. Does it to you? If any of you
4T owners out there have experienced these same problems in your cameras, I'd
love to hear what course you took to repair them.
In LA,
Jason
