You might try the new Fuji MS 100/1000. Early reports are it's quite good
when pushed. I have a couple rolls but haven't had a need for fast film yet.
btw another tripod that's great for mucky conditions is the Gitzo Safari
Reporter (legs are reversed and green anodizing) though I don't think it's
still made. I beat one up for years but traded in for a 1228 :-)
