Hi BW,
before I fitted the 2-4 screen into my OM-2 it used to be something like
30% manual
30% auto without correction
40% auto with correction
now it's around
5% manual
35% auto without correction
60% auto with correction.
I'm using zoom lenses most of the time (slides aren't easily cropped),
so metering most often works like this:
select an aperture, zoom in, take a reading, zoom out to the desired
frame, turn correction dial to adjust for the first reading (plus some
guesstimated additional correction), take picture.
This takes a little long, but actually it is some form of
spot-measurement with an oversized spot (wouldn't mind a real one
though).
If I'm uncertain or it's possibly a keeper I bracket with +/- 2/3 stop.
