I returned to Olympus after many years in the wilderness. I bought an OM2n
new in 1981 in my first job and gradually built up a decent collection
outfit...then lost the lotto a car thief.
Having no insurance I went through a succession of what were (but sadly are no
longer) reasonably-priced but interesting manual cameras. In chronological
order: Minox B submin., Kodak Retina 1a, Nikon F, Canon F1, Leica IIIa and
then an M2. Each was sold to fund the next purchase until Baby #1 and a
period 'freelancing' meant the M2 had to go. I liked them all but none could
replace my beloved Olympus. And so, after a chance find in a 2nd hand shop,
the wheel turned full circle and I have every intention of remaining true. It
was a long hill to climb, but fun... Simon
