I'm not sure that's a good analogy. There is a elegant simplicity to the
DOS prompt, IMHO.
I would think an OM1 is your basic DOS prompt, your 4T is Windows 3.1/Mac
Classic, and your current crop of Wintel/System 7 is your basic Nikon F5!
In spite of the Mac/PC debates, there is far less difference between the
two platforms than there used to be. Photoshop is Photoshop. Perhaps, that
is why fewer and fewer are willing to buy into a closed system any more
