John:
I thought the same thing (corrosion) so I checked the battery holder
with a DVM. The batteries are really dead dead dead. So dead that
some actually read negative with a DVM. I've never seen alkaline
batteries with a negative output. I took the drive off the camera
when the camera I just sent you jammed and left it setting with
batteries installed. I -may- have left the switch in the ON position.
Otherwise I didn't do anything unusual. It was dead when I tried
to test it with the repaired camera.
Any ideas?
Tom
