I have discovered the German manufactured 'Braun Independent' range of
(butane) heated hair-styling tongs use a cell for the ignition which happens
to be the same as what is required by the OM1 and 1n range of cameras.
Varta 625PX 1.35 Volt cells are available through Braun stockists. They are
repackaged as Braun Independent in blister packs with an over-the-counter
price (here) of £1.50 Irish Pounds (appx. US$2.50) each. Beats buying an
expensive adapter to run the more common 1.5 volt cells.
