Agreed. That is the general rule, which I think is still too liberal. I
would double the shutter speed/focal length to be absolutely sure. And
enjoy that bokeh.

I've started with this approach recently also, after seeing signs of motion
blur in 8x10s when using 1/60 on a 50mm, or 1/125 with an 85mm.
Of course, my target has been moving increasingly faster each day.... ;-)
