Good, John. The OM2000 page is brand new. It has an April 21, 1998 date.
I had been asking for this page some time ago. Perhaps the fact that their
spring break (the company is closed for the Golden Week for a week) was
approachig helped them to finally put the English page in. This page is
better than the one Olympus America has on the 2000. Its URL is:
http://www.olympus.co.jp/LineUp/Camera/om2000E.html

The reason for the absence, I surmise, is that they did not prepare the
English page simultaneously when they put the OM-4Ti page in Japanese on
their Web site. The Olympus Japan Web site is definitely geared for the
Japanese market. The English Camera LineUp is partial. The Japanese
Camera LineUp is much longer. It is not only the OM-4Ti that is left out
but also several other cameras in production.

I doubt very much that you'll get the privilege of knowing what is (not)
going to happen ahead of the rest of the world. When I asked the Olympus
Plaza service center personnel about the potential OM-5, he said that he
did not find out about the introduction of the OM2000 until one month
prior. If Olympus is going to introduce something new at Photokina, they
would want to surprise us and the other SLR manufacturers.
In any case Olympus Japan is on vacation through the fifth of May just as
the rest of Japan is except perhaps the travel industry in Japan.
