I'll "third" this. I prefer the combination with a 85mm, giving me two
very bright lenses. Add a 24mm and a 135mm or 200mm and you are ready
for almost anything.
On my recent trip down under, almost 500f the pictures were
taken with the 35mm f/2. IMHO it's one of the most useful lenses.
