Dear Olympus Shooters:
I have some shots from a recent shoot with odd, half-moon like distortions
coming out of the camera-top border of the shots. If you want to see, go to
http://www.uiowa.edu/~uaactr/polterimage.htm
I've created a temporary page with a horizontal and a vertical image, each
with the offending half-moon poltergeist. In instances I think the
equipment is the same: OM-2S, Zuiko 35-70 3.5-4.6 zoom, Vivitar polarizer,
lens hood.
The half-moon thing will look sort of like a processing bubble to some, or
as though the film were somehow creased or dimpled. It is certainly not the
latter; the relatively consistent shape of the defect (and probably its
size too) would seem to suggest it is not a processing malfunction.
There's a hot button to my email address on the www page.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions and/or remedies.
Best,
Joel
