and I'll second that. the 35-80 f/2.8 is not only crisp and contrasty, its
just plain fun to use. No flare, no noticable distortion (I'm sure its
*measurable*, but I don't see it in my photos) and easy to handle. It gives
abvsolutely nothing away to any fixed length in its range. It does have a
down side - its on the heavy side and the price!! Sheesh! But one does get
what they pay for. Highly recommended.
