>From memory when getting this camera set up for my daughter (who is thrilled
with it!):
The OM20/OM-G has a center and the upper right contact (looking from behind
the camera). The shoe is permanent. Hence, all that is transmitted to the
camera is a confirmation of flash readyness and a blinking green viewfinder
light when the flash was sufficient. There is no OFT metering with this
system. The make and model of flash wouldn't matter, except that an upper
right contact isn't common and the flash would have to be compatible with the
OM system.
