Hans,

Did you really try to change the setting of the internal diopter eye
correction of the 3 and 4? For the purpose of comparing it should not
be set for optimal sharpness of the focusing aids, but in the same
position as the fixed viewfinder of the 1 and 2 (about -0.5 if I am
right). But if you did set them this way, it certainly is a strange
thing which happened to your Vmf. Mine works all-right with all
OM-bodies, screens and lenses. How does it perform when you look
through it without any camera attached? The image should be sharp then
as well (if your possible nearsightedness not exceeds -6/-7 diopters,
but in that case you can keep your glasses on).
