Hello Olympians,
here are an lenstest of AF zooms. As far as I know,
the Olympus AF lens has the same lens design than the MF Zuiko.
Interesting is one remark of the author, they said, that Olympus
wanted to introduce a new designed AF lens to replace the tested one.
Based on a lens test by the Magazin Color Foto, published in 9/91.

The quality numbers are basing on MTF measuring, the difference of
one whole number marks an, for the critical observer, just noticeable
difference in sharpness, contrast. The maximum number is 10, which stands
for a flawless lens.
The number are computed and weighted for the central half diameter
to 2/3 and the rest to 1/3, the extreme corners are not rated.
Vignetting is the combined effect of light fall off and vignetting
through the lens barrel. It?s measured at 18mm.
Waveform distortion is a combination of pincushion distortion in the
corner and barrel distortion in the center.
