Hi,
Ring flashes give very flat light. T28 is better because you can control the
lights. It has modelling lamps and I usually use one flash as main light and
other as fill light with ND-filter set.
The drawback is its larger guide number. This is a problem only when it is used
in MANUAL mode and the flash to subject distance is small!! TTL mode corrects
this and you can allways use thick diffusers.
If the flat light doesnt bother you or if its essential in your work, switching
to T28 isnt necessary.
