While picking up my new 2-13 screen on the weekend, I also had the chance to
try out the new 70-210 zoom. After the 35-70, I was surprised at the feel of
this lens - it seemed much more solid in comparison, and had a nice feel. They
were asking $229 CDN, which is less than the Tamron low end zooms, about the
only other option available new around here.
With the standard 1-13 screen in my OM-4T I found it a bit dark to focus
indoors, but this would improve with the 2-13 screen. If the price were more
in line with the $129 US price, I may consider this lens someday....
When I got home, I installed the 2-13 screen. With my 50/1.8, I noticed little
difference in focussing ease. However, with my 135/3.5, it was *much* easier in
low light to quickly focus.
