Hi Joel:
I use the 51 mm (?) slide-on (with set screw) OLY hood intended for the 50 mm
f/1.4 & 1.8 and 35 mm f/2.8. You can set the position anywhere along the long
barrel. I suspect it would even work with a step up ring placed at the end of
the lens.
I always double check for vignetting. Set the zoom to f/22 and push in the
depth of field preview button. If the corners of the frame get intruded than
the hood (with filter combo, if filters are present) is too small. I learned
this the hard ways years ago with the 28 mm f/3.5 That little beast was very
prone to vignetting when one would use a deeper than normal filter, like in
some polarizers.
A 52 mm collapable rubber hood, intended for normal lenses, along with your
contrast filters, shouldn't vignette.
