In reply to "Dr. Matthew J. Cordery" about bulk loading. I did this for
years without a darkroom. I had a room in my house without windows. I
would wait for night time, tell everyone in the house to leave all the
lights off for the next 20 minutes and load up 20 or so cassettes. No
noticeable dust problems. But you must make sure the reloadable
cassettes are clean and the fuzzy lips still seal tightly.
Mirror lock up is always a good feature unless you always shoot at fast
shutterspeeds and have a very solid heavy tripod. I haven't done the
tests, but I am sure mirror shake is a much bigger problem on my Nikon
8008's than it is on my OM's.
Read somewhere about attaching a flashlight with a focusing beam to a
long lens, and experiment with shutter speeds to check for camera shake.
Worth a try if you are worried about this.
