I ran an alkaline cell through this and found that as the cell discharged I
eventually had a output voltage that didn't give enough power for the OM-1
meter needle to freely move while the camera was in vertical position. (It
worked in horizontal). I wrote this off for too long a time as meaning the
meter needed service. Since replacement with a silver oxide it seems to work
in vertical, so I think I now know better.
