A chart in the OM2s documentation shows as light decreases from an
exposure of f16 @1/1000 first the f stop is decreased to between f8
and f11 while the shutter speed stays at 1/1000, from there both
shutter speed and f stop are reduced until the maximum f stop is
reached when just the shutter speed continues to be reduced.
Note: the lens must be set to the minimum f stop (largest number). I
suspect that if the aperture is not set to the minimum the the
shutter speed would be reduced until both f stop and speed could be
reduced in synch. The chart seems to imply that this is what happens.
