Good catch, Garth! This stuff is probably worth around US$280-300.
Your post motivated me to check again the eBay's listings. Guess what?
This morning, some schmuck (fanci@xxxxxx) paid $30 ($26 + $4 for s&h)
for a mint (but used!) Nikon HN-1 lens hood. The funny thing is that
in the B&H February 1998 catalog -- by no means the cheapest store on
Earth, this item is listed NEW for $14.95, plus s&h. (All US$)
FYI, the HN-1 is NOT a scarce item! In fact, I believe it is still in
production.
I should probably contact this buyer, as I have a few hard-to-find
Zuiko hoods, priced at $10 to 25 shipped!! Or, should I place them
on eBay, and buy with the proceeds that red Ferrari I always wanted?
Hmm, a dilemma... ;-)
Cheers,
