I tried such a search and no reference to this list appeared. I know of no
search engine that indexes private email lists such as this one. However,
Marco's point is very well taken - a business *should* use the web's search
capabilities to learn what customers are saying about their performance. In
fact, B&H does this on a regular basis; go visit rec.photo.equipment.35mm for
a while and you'll see Mr. Posner from B&H comment from time to time. Better
yet, post a glowing comment to the newsgroup and y
ou will likely received a private thank you note from him in a day or two.
They monitor every information resource they can. B&H, for one, keeps a close
pulse of the marketplace that way.
