I have a strong suspicion that Panagor may be Vivitar's
alter ego. I've seen a Panagor 55mm f2.8 macro (1:1) lens
that looked like a carbon copy of the same lens by Vivitar.
So, you may have gotten exactly what you wanted all along,
and for half the price! I guess the curse of Friday the 13th
becomes a blessing south of the Equator. :-)
