I have dedicated an OM-1 to HIE. Cloth shutter is NOT a problem. But, you
will have to replace the dimpled pressure plate. ALL OMs have dimpled
plates. You should either replace it or jury-rig a fix so the dimples don't
show up on the negs. Olympus NY has some special order flat plates. Ask
for Pat MacFarlane.
