A cheap alternative is level concrete in the sunshine. My sidewalk sees
regular use as a copy stand even though I have a copy stand. Faster lenses
such as the 50mm f/1.4 are generally not desirable for this purpose. You
might experiment with the 85mm although it is also a fast lens. It cost
little to try, and if the results are not acceptable have it done by a lab.
Remember, contrast will increase in copying.
