Uhm, just a sec here. It seems to me that I've heard this chestnut before
-- it goes around the 'Net periodically, just like rumours about viruses
and Trojan horses etc. Is this another "urban myth"? Does anyone have an
announcement FROM THE FCC that states that they are presently reviewing
such a proposal? Is there anything on the FCC's website? Most of the
reliable telco sources I monitor have made no mention of this.
Just a caution. If anyone's got more info, let the rest of us know.
