I like the 35-105 very much. Gary Schloss already mentioned the
contrast. This lens will really "snap" if the light is right. Although it is a
bit heavy compared to the 35-70 f3.4-4.5, I like the balance with a Winder 2
attached.
I have been very satisfied with the way it performs at the close focus
end of it's range as well. I'm afraid I can't help the fellow wanting a hood, I
had trouble finding the one I have.
If you don't mind my asking, what price are you looking at for the
100-200 f5? I have seen several for sale lately starting at about $125.
