Hello all manual camera lovers
Swedish photo-magazine FOTO has a test of manual cameras Nikon FE10 and
Pentax MZM in their latest issue. One point of interest is that Nikon claims
to have had major influence on design of the FE10 and that it mainly
contains Nikon parts. Development and production is shared with "the other
cameramanufacturer", nothing is said who that may be, but as we all of this
list know it's Cosina (!?).
Maybe the OM2000 is more Olympus than we initially thought.
BTW. the FE10 doesn't get very good reviews, the finder and microprism
darkens with the 35-70/3.5-4.8 zoom at the long end and the reviewer has a
hard time to focus. (Same with OM2000, Tomoko?). The Pentax MZM fares a lot
better and is astonishingly low-priced.
OM2000's Nikon "sister" FM10 has not been released in Sweden.
I have a hard time thinking the OM2000 will be released here. Total amount
of manual cameras sold is 1000/year.
