Several esteemed "do-it-yourself" Zuiks uttered as follows:
>I made a 49 to 55 thread adapter from two Cokin filter
>holder rings glued together with 5 minute epoxy.
>I've done a bit of lens reversal macro work with my 50/1.4
>and 100/2.8 taped together.
>I bought two 49 - 52mm step up rings and then used sellotape
>to fasten them together 52-52 ends for a double-ended 49mm
>special rings exist for this. It is just a piece of thread
>tube about 1/4" long which will fit into two filter threads.
Indeed, Hoya makes coupling rings in 14-15 various diameter
combinations, from 49mm to 62mm. Should cost around $10-12
each mail-order.
