Hi all,
For Christmas I didn't exactly get any Zuiko gear but I got a new book
that's just come out called 'English Country Churches'. So what! you
might ask. Well, the photos are all done by Derry Brabbs, a famous
English landscape snapper and he uses OM gear. In the photo info
paragraph he states that he uses an OM2 and all Zuiko glass, including
the 35mm shift.
There are some nice piccies of remote country churches and it makes you
want to pick up your camera and go after some yourself. There are one or
two decidedly dodgy images which I don't think would stand too much
enlargement, and there are certainly a lot of converging verticals. He
definately needs a 24mm shift (he once told me he couldn't afford one -
perhaps he will with the proceeds of this book). I suspect the shakey
images are taken with his 85-250 zoom.
Anyway, I thought I'd post this to let you know there's at least one pro
that is still exclusively Olympus.
John.
Anybody wanting the ISBN number of the book e:mail me. Well worth a look
at England at its best.
